Washington, D.C. - Man-Machine Systems Assessment (MSA) continues to be an avid supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association’s Washington D.C chapter through their annual Blondes v. Brunettes flag football game.
Blondes vs. Brunettes (BvB) is a volunteer-driven event that raises awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. Two teams of women – divided to reflect the age-old rivalry between blondes and brunettes – compete in a flag football game to help end Alzheimer’s.
The participants also recruit coaches, announcers and other volunteers to build an atmosphere of fierce, friendly competition. Leading up to game day, the two teams participate in a series of events to socialize and increase awareness for Alzheimer’s disease.
“We know that this game won’t cure anyone today, tomorrow, or even the day after that,” said Ryan Triplette, BvB organizer. “But as this game grows with participants and donors and in cities around the country, it will raise awareness and commitment to finding a cure. It is our hope and firm belief that, one day, we will all become Champions because we will find a cure for the disease.”
Over the course of MSA’s 6-year participation in this event, President Lilly Harris has raised over $35,000 for the cause. For more information visit http://blondesvsbrunettes.org/.
